OMSA represents exclusive brands and products which are acknowledged market leaders in their respective fields of operation, and all are ISO 9001 accredited. Our motto is “Uncompromising Engineering Integrity” and we are proud of our record of quality, backed by our particularly high standard of after-sales service.
Our ranges have increased markedly over the years, and we supply a large array of valves, instrumentation, filtration and lubrication products as well as tyre protection chains and our in-house tailormade oil and grease lubrication systems and bulk filtration assemblies. We offer a “Total Process Solution” philosophy as well as a Total Lubrication Management” solution to suit the needs of our clients.
A substantial presence
Since 1974, when I took on the Delimon agency for lubrication equipment and subsequently established Operational Marketing, we have supplied, developed and marketed high quality branded engineering products to an ever increasing market. The OMSA brand emerged later as the company grew and I found it necessary to differentiate our expanding range of products.
Our ranges and systems are now spread throughout Africa and beyond, meeting the needs of clients across a broad spectrum of industries including mining, refining, power generation, iron and steel, material handling, food and beverage, paper and pulp, chemical, sugar and automotive.
Starting out from humble beginnings as one man with a vision, the company now occupies two separate premises for administration and manufacturing purposes, and has grown to a staff complement of 150 and a turnover close to R200 million per annum. Large stock holdings, coupled with a network of branches and a fleet of field service vehicles, ensure speedy attention to customers' needs, wherever they are situated.
Our clients include the largest operators in each of the sectors which we serve, and many have signed contracts with us to ensure sustainable operations.
Our staff comprises outstanding depth of experience, knowledge of the products we offer and the applications in which they can be used. Such expertise is the backbone of our operations, but we never forget that our customers are the essential core of our business.
Looking forward
We have relaunched our company in 2010 with new branding and a new strategy which has led to staff reorganisation into more effective teams, assuring our clients of an even better service and providing a wider choice of products and an expanded distribution network. We are well positioned for an upturn in economic conditions, and our policy of organic growth and development by reinvestment in the business will continue to foster successful operations for the years to come.
